Fill a basket full of items that you can use in the sandbox and around the yard on a rainy day.
Here are a few ideas:
- Spoons, pans and dishes for making mud pies
- Small shovels for digging
- Old combs or brushes to make designs in the mud or sand
- Sponges, dish soap, and old rags to “clean” outdoor furniture and playsets
- Magnifying glass to get a closer look at worms, lady bugs, and other bugs
- Sidewalk chalk for drawing on wet sidewalks
