Minnesota is beautiful this time of year! Whether you’re at the park or in your backyard, leaves in every shape. size, and color can be found. Before we say goodbye to the leaves for the season, take a moment to explore and enjoy!
- Sort by size, shape, and color.
- Press leaves in-between the pages of a book. Once they’re dry, you can add them to your table as a nice centerpiece.
- Make a leaf kabab! Take a small dull stick and poke the leaves through. An adult can use a hole punch to create the hole (see photo). See how many leaves you can stack on a stick.
- Grab your crayons and make some leaf rubbings.
- Use a hole punch and make some earth friendly confetti!
- Write letters in sidewalk chalk and “trace” the letters with leaves.
- Read a fall book outside. One of our favorites is Wonderfall by Michael Hall.
